Trip to Zurich!

We finally traveled to Zurich after living in Geneva for over three years! It was 2 hours 40 minutes on the direct modern double decker train. I scored a seat to myself and squeezed in a much needed nap.

It turns out one of my parents' favorite restaurants, Wagamamas, from London opened in Zurich so we headed over for lunch. Unfortunately, the rules are a bit stricter in Zurich then Geneva and we were denied entry!!!! Yes, no dogs allowed inside due to their "open kitchen". What's up with that?!

Fortunately, my morale was boosted when I ran into this foxy looking poodle! She was diggin my moves that I was layin on her!

Later I cruised a small park and this little terrier appeared out of nowhere!

Zurich didn't disappoint when it came to canine delicacies! The Swiss put out a premium quality pig ear that all pugs should try!

Humans say the streets are paved with gold but I have to say, I think the streets in Zurich are paved with pig ears! I mean, when have you ever seen bags of pig ears on the sidewalks?! It's truly amazing and I now know why Zurich was rated one of the best places to live!

Later we hit this modern coffee house that had a perfect place for me!

This dog was a cross between a dachshund and an Italian truffle dog (not sure what that is?).

Finally, I just had to catch some zzz's while my parents indulged in some cocktails! All in all, I loved Zurich and would go back! The people were so friendly towards me!

Loup de Mer at Chico's!

I could not miss out on this fine feast at my friend Chico's house so I had to resort to some extreme pug measures! The space was small but I found a perfect vantage point under the trolley so as not to miss a morsel!

The salt crusted loup de mer. Yumm!

Finally, when things settled down a bit I was able to come out from under the cart! AND, yes, I had my fair share of the fish.

Well, I have a new little friend in Geneva and his name is Louis! He's only three months old but already he's grooving on my zen ways. I've showed him THE place to buy his latest in doggie couture and he seems to be coming along quite well on the city living.

I think you'll be seeing a lot more of him on my blog.

Peace out!

Montpellier Trip!

Boarding our TGV train direct to Montpellier!

Watching the scenery as we departed Geneva.

Scored my own seat for half the trip.

Cruisin the park offleash in Montpellier.

Pug approved hotel room. The hotel also had a resident dog and black kitten.

Checking out the sites of the pedestrian area.

Wondering if this Puig cheese has any relation to Pugs.

Glad to not be a fish in this truck!

I wasn't too sure about this little black and white thing. He was bucking around a lot.

This dog was enjoying the ride! I may have to see if I can get something like this when I'm old.

And finally, I met this big softy at the Montpellier train station just outside of Paul. He was quite nice but a bit excited. All and all it was a great trip. I'm now on my two full days of recovery with lots of nap time to catch up on.

Off to Montpellier!

This is me enjoying one of my three identical ducks! You just can't have enough of these guys!

I won't be posting until Sunday when I return from Montpellier, France! It should be a nice weekend given the temps will be in the mid-70's which is near perfect for a pug! Of course we are traveling with my preferred mode, the TGV train.

On the disease front. . .My parents are going to try a different form of medication to ward off the dreaded leishmaniasis (spread by a specific sand fly species) so hopefully I won't have a reaction like the last time I went to southern France.

Peace out!

Chez Raoul

Pretty cool graffiti if I do say so myself! It was found in Lyon France!

On another note, I'm still waiting on my broken Sony camera to return to me. In the meantime, I've borrowed my dad's camera but it just isn't the same. I'll try to be better at posting. I guess I've fallen off the blog wagon these days.

Crumble is the cafe dog for our favorite restaurant , Les P'tits Peres, in Lyon France. I haven't met him yet but he looks like someone I'd like to hang with especially if we could hang out in his kitchen!!!
