A White Holiday!

We had our first snow accumulation in Geneva for the winter and it looks like it's going to stay for the holidays. Argh! I don't like snow but it's better than slush!

Lyon and Pork!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. It seems between the holiday gatherings and the long weekend trips I haven't had time to blog. Last Friday we made a last minute trip to Lyon for a long weekend.

Lyonaise food is known for being pork dominated and I found there was pig themed decor as well as pork products everywhere!

Why wouldn't you put a pile of lardon on top of potatoes all the time? The most important question though, is why isn't my mom feeding me this everyday?!!

Look at all that pork that was being sold at the market in Lyon! If only one of those saucissons would have dropped on the ground.

Boreal Coffee Shop is now open on Sunday!

Now I can go to my favorite coffee shop everyday of the week if I feel like it! They are now open on Sundays!

Holidaze!

My buddy Louis is a star! He made the front of the holiday mail out for the pet store J'adore my dog!

The limelight has just worn the little guy out! Here he is trying to catch some rest after greeting his fans at Boreal coffee.

Me, on the other hand, am still recovering from all our holiday gatherings over the last weekend. Peace out.

A total dogfest weekend!

My buddy Louis was over for the weekend and we had a wild and crazy time! We called our friend Chico and Happy over for the festivities!

Happy was thinking that me and Louis might be onto something with these carrier bags.

Louis and I had to take a few breaks on the couch during all the action.

At the end of the evening we both found our spots to curl up on.

Louis was exhausted.

Waiting on Louis.

Tonight my mom put out two bags, a raincoat, a sweater, and some toys that smell exactly like my friend Louis. I think he is coming over but I don't know when so I'll just wait in his bag. No need to be uncomfortable while I wait. Peace out.

Paris!!!

Riding the TGV in my new bag! It worked marvelously and I wasn't charged a ticket.

I also enjoyed the cafes much better with some plush seating of my own!

Eventually, the humans figured out what I really wanted. To be up on their laps! Ha! Also, at this bar, Charonne, we met a friendly crowd of fellow pug lovers and owners! Here's a shout out to them!

The Parisians love carlins (aka pugs) so of course their was a great window display with pugs for the holidays.

My favorite is the yellow hat! The pug looks all hip with the wrist band and the necklace!

Ahhh. No trip to Paris is complete without the obligatory stop at the BHV pet store!

Yes! Another cafe and I scored my own seat!

Enjoying the canal at St. Martin.

This is Charlie, the Parisian pug! His owner walked a block back just so Charlie could meet me! All in all, it was another fabulous time in Paris!

Waiting for Paris!

It was a gorgeous spring like day in Geneva so I hit the usual dog park with my bud, Louis!

After, I enjoyed a nap in my new train travel bag. I'm off to Paris tomorrow for a long weekend.
Have a good one!

Tryptophan induced sleep for me!

I know it's not officially Thanksgiving in the States yet, but we decided to have it early in Switzerland so everyone could attend before traveling to the states. This lovely 20 pound specimen of a turkey was quite tasty!

Here you can see my friend Pascale dishing out turkey for everyone! As with any Thanksgiving, I was not denied my gluttony! Ok, maybe a little!

I really wanted to leap onto the table, as you can see in the above photo, but my mom restrained me.

As with any great over indulgence , I had to go home and sleep it off! It was one of the better feasts, if my relaxed tail is any indication.

Boreal Coffee Shop with a friend!

Yep! Boreal comes through once again with some delicious biscuits for me and my buddy, Louis! Not just one but 1.5 each! They really know how to capture a pug's heart!

Enjoying European Cafe Life!

Yep, dogs are allowed in restaurants in Switzerland! Here I am enjoying the freedom.

I'm getting the kitchen tour with my daddy.

Our Paella!

This broth smelled incredible!

Another photo opportunity!

Pig Ears!!

Ahhh, the joys of a pig ear! It's been awhile since I had one since I lost a few key teeth but my mom found some thinner softer ears and I'm back in bid-ness!! Yah, you just can't beat a Euro pig ear!

A baby and a coffee shop.

We spent some time at my favorite coffee shop, Boreal. They have the best dog biscuit give away in all of Geneva. Not to mention they serve it to me with dignity by placing it on my very own serving plate!

While my mom conversed with her friends, I discovered a little baby! These little humans usually have food so it's good to give a close inspection.

After I cleaned her off, I patiently waited for her to wake up. All in all it was a great day!

Friends in the Park

Yesterday I met up with Dahlia and Snoopy at the dog park. We were trying to shoot a picture of all of us but unfortunately, Snoopy was preoccupied so this is the best we could do.

Trip to Lyon

Our weekend trip to Lyon was fun. Unfortunately, it was a blustery cold weekend so I didn't hang at the cafes like I usually do. The above picture is of me waiting for our early morning train to depart.

This guy was at our restaurant for lunch. He was super sweet but I didn't catch his name.

Of course, we went to our favorite boulangerie where I scored a little croissant for me.

Apparently, they are giving the dog owners a little reminder and schooling on what they are suppose to do with your waste. Now, if they would just crack down on all the scooters parked on the sidewalks like the one in the lower right corner of this picture.
