Gruyeres and Aliens!!!

Gruyeres, Switzerland is well known for their cheese but they also have a secret. Aliens!!!!! Yes, the creator of the set for the movie Aliens is from Gruyere. We enjoyed his bar and sculptures.

My Racoon!

Every night I "kill" this racoon. Once he's dead I can hold him in my jaws as I lazily fall asleep. There's nothing better than the feel of a dead racoon as one drifts off to sleep.

Sad Day For the Swiss!

Man, what are the swiss thinking?! Today it has become official. All dogs in any park in the city of Geneva have to be muzzled! What ridiculousness! The fine is from 100 chf to 60,000 chf. I spoke with my vet today and he said, "Pugs have enough of a hard time breathing. Just pay the fine." Geneva may well be the most expensive place to walk your dog if the fine is 60,000chf!

The Promenade plantee is a walkway that is suspended above the city streets over old aquaducts (I beleive) and has gorgeous landscaping with tremendous views of the city. I'm not sure I was suppose to be up there but oh, well! I enjoyed it!

It was too good to be true! A huge bag of baguettes all for me!!! You can see I'm in disbelief!

Suisse and their Muzzles!!!

Well, the Suisse are true to their stereotype! They are implementing an obligatory muzzle required law for all dogs in basically all the parks in Geneva (where I live!). What's a pug to do? No more grass for me?! This is absurd! I'm preparing my protest signs now! Do they even make a muzzle for a pug?!

My good friend, Snoopy!

Snoop dog was an excellent host! He gave me his bed, toys, treats, and humans to enjoy! It felt so much like home, I got carried away and was going all cujo on him when he tried to get attention from his humans. Oops! :)

Lyon: Gastronomic Feast!

Lyon, as usual, was filled with the most heavenly smells and sights! So much pork and meat around I was constantly drooling the entire weekend. In this photo, I can't even look at thos rotisserie chickens!

No Muzzles Required!

Well, I'm headed to Lyon, France today for a long relaxing muzzle free weekend! Being a rebel is really wearing me out so, I'm headed over to France for some much needed fun without all these rules that abound in Switzerland! I've heard rumor of protests in Geneva regarding this new regulation on muzzles but hopefully, I will be back in time to participate.

Muzzle supplies!

Well, apparently for those law abiding swiss citizens who have rushed out to purchase a muzzle for their dogs, Geneva has run out!!!! I'm not sure who purchased the muzzles as I did not see one dog with a muzzle yesterday and I was definitely in the parks. Also, they have included the walkway around the lake as a park. Where do they expect us to play and be dogs?!

Geneva Muzzles All 30,000 of its Dogs!!!

I awoke to the following headlines today in Geneva, Switzerland (my current home): 30, 000 Dogs Muzzled, All the Dogs Muzzled, and All Dogs Muzzled in the Parks! Apparently, a pit bull who was being walked by a 15 year old girl attacked a young child in one of the parks. Now, a temporary measure has been instituted that requires all dogs in any park in Geneva to wear a muzzle. Well, as you can see by my magnificent profile, I don't have one! As they say on the Grey Album, "I've got 99 problems but a muzzle aint one!" Check out my photo documentation of blatant disregard for the law!! Peace Out!! Yo, Bay-B! Yo!

Going Home!

I'm back in Geneva! It was a long flight but the people from KLM treated me like a king! They were the first to ask if I needed any water or if they could get me anything! Now that's service!

My mom was really worried about my weight being over the 4.5 kilos. However, I layed on the charm and I breezed by without a weigh-in!

Exhaustion!

Being in Alaska with all those wolf mixes really got me back to my roots. Here I am sleeping like a "common dog" on the floor (who needs those soft plush dog beds!)

First Propeller Ride!

Man, this trip to Alaska has been crazy! First they set me up in this small noisy plane they keep calling the Beaver. The next thing I know we are up in the air and the noise just made me shake and pant. What happen to those Boeing 757's that I've grown accustomed to?! Geez!

Travel

True to my blog's name, I'm busy travelling so my posts won't be as frequent. I'm currently in South Dakota visiting the grandparents but will head back to Chicago later today. Tomorrow I will start my Alaskan Expedition. I'll be in the wilds of the Wrangell St. Elias National Park for a month and probably won't be able to post much. I've been really working out for this trip. Watch out bears, eagles, coyotes, foxes, owls, and mooses cos I'm headed to the wilderness!!!!! Aroooooooo.

No Internet Connection!!

Sorry I haven't posted, but I still do not have phone service or internet at my new home! We are getting the run around from Swisscom. One would think that Switzerland is super efficient but this is not the case! Anyway, I'm headed across the pond back to the USA so I'll post from there! Stay tuned. I have many adventures planned for the summer-Alaska expedition travel, Chicago Pug Marches, South Dakota rallies, and North Carolina Blue Grass Festivals!
